HISTORY

Helen Yomine and a group of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff residents who had lived outside the United States founded the Lake Forest International Club on July 2nd, 1981 in the State of Illinois. LFIC was granted a 501 (c) (7) by the IRS in 1982.

OBJECTIVES

The Lake Forest International Club is a non-profit, non-political, philanthropic organization, which provides its members the opportunity to meet and interact with others who have lived across the world. Social events, primarily with international themes take place monthly from September to May are designed for intellectual, cultural, philanthropic, and educational enjoyment of its members and the community.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to residents of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff who are foreign nationals or Americans who have lived outside the United States for at least two years.
